Things you can expect from the new iPhone 6s
Apple will announce its new iPhone on September 9 and as always, the rumour mill has been working overtime.
The new phone is expected to be priced similarly to the iPhone 6, which will likely drop slightly in price.
Rumours have been flying about what new features the upcoming iPhone will have. Here's a look at the five most likely changes to the new iPhone.
- NAME
No surprises here, Apple's next iPhone is likely to be called the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. Some believe the name is clunky, but it's been an Apple convention for a while now.
- IMPROVED CAMERA
If the gossip is true, the iPhone 6s will have a more powerful camera. Apple rumour blog 9to5 Mac reported that the back camera will be upgraded to 12 megapixels. It will be the first megapixel upgrade since the iPhone 4s.
- FORCE TOUCH
Apple unveiled its Force Touch technology with the Apple Watch last September and it's likely to be rolled out into the next generation of phones. Force Touch will measure tap sensitivity, allowing users to interact with the phone in new ways, such as accessing shortcuts or additional functions.
- APPEARANCE
Most reports have dismissed the idea that new iPhone could have a 3D screen, a curved display or be flexible, so the likelihood is it will look pretty much the same as the iPhone 6. But, leaked images supposedly of the new phone show that it is 0.2 millimetres thicker.
